Family Promise of Metrowest
Dulce, is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology. As a first-generation college student from a low-income family, Dulce is relying on scholarships, grants, and part-time jobs to help fund her college degree. As Dulce told us in her application, “I chose the psychology program since I always knew I wanted a career that was driven by supporting others.” Her unwavering focus on pursuing higher education, despite the challenges her family is facing (including losing their home to a fire this spring) is deeply inspirational. “I learned from a young age that there was no such thing as a problem,” Dulce wrote, “it was easier to see it as a challenge.”
